Abu Hurairah (radhiyallahu anhu) relates that Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said:
“Who will take these statements from me, so that he may act upon them, or teach one who will act upon them?”
So Abu Hurairah said:
“I said: ‘I shall O Rasulullah!’ So he (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) took my hand and enumerated five (things):
HOW TO BE THE MOST WORSHIPPING AMONGST THE PEOPLE
“Stay away from the prohibitions (of Allah) and you shall be the most worshipping amongst the people.”
HOW TO BE THE RICHEST PERSON
“Be pleased with what Allah has apportioned for you, and you shall be the richest amongst the people.”
HOW TO BE A MU’MIN (BELIEVER)
“Treat your neighbour well, and you shall be a Mu’min.”
HOW TO BE A MUSLIM
“Love for the people what you love for yourself, and you shall be a Muslim.”
HOW NOT TO KILL THE HEART
“Do not laugh much, for much laughter kills the heart.”
