DO YOU SEE ANY SKYSCRAPERS AND WATER CONDUITS IN MAKKAH?
“When you see Makkah cut open with water tunnels, and you see buildings rise above the heads of mountains, then know the matter (the Hour) is overshadowing you.”
(Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah)
فإذا رأيت مكة قد بعجت كظائم، ورأيت البناء يعلو رؤوس الجبال، فاعلم أن الأمر قد أظلك.
In previous eras, the rulers would avoid building anything that would be higher than the Kaʿbah. For example, al-Azraqi narrates regarding the Abbasid ruler that:
“He commanded his manager that they should not raise (any building) high such that they look over the Kaʿbah and that they make the highest one lower than the Kaʿbah, so that they (all) are lower than it, out of respect for the Kaʿbah such that it looks over the (other) buildings…”
Not too long ago, before the discovery of oil reserves in Arabia, the Arabs were largely sheperds and bedouins living in destitute conditions. The fact that these very same destitute and bare-footed Arabs would come to compete in constructing skyscrapers, quite suddenly and unexpectedly within the span of a few decades, had been prophecized by the Prophet ﷺ:
“I shall inform you of its (the Hour’s) signs…when you see the destitute, barefooted, barely-clothed person come to compete in raising the heights of buildings and they become Kings.”
He asked:
“Who is the destitute, barefooted and barely-clothed person?”
He ﷺ replied:
“Arabs”

THE PEOPLE OF THE SUNNAH WILL BECOME EXTREMELY RARE DESPITE THE HUGE NUMBER OF MUSLIMS
Imam al-Awzā’ī (rahmatullahi alayh) said in explanation of the Hadith on Islam becoming Gharīb (strange):
“Verily, Islam will not disappear, but Ahlus Sunnah will disappear to the extent that none will remain from them in any land except (just) one man.”
أما إنه ما يذهب الإسلام ولكن يذهب أهل السنة حتى ما يبقى في البلد منهم إلا رجل واحد.
WELL-MANNERED AND INTELLIGENT, BUT STILL EVIL
Nabi ﷺ prophecized a time when a person of true Imaan will be rare, although there will be many people with outwardly praiseworthy traits:
“It will be said regarding a man: How clever he is! How well-mannered he is! How strong he is! However, in his heart will not be even a mustard seed’s weight of Imaan.”
(Saheeh Bukhari)
FITNAH WILL BE TAKEN AS SUNNAH
Abdullah ibn Mas’ood (radhiyallahu anhu) narrates:
“How will you be when a Fitnah (temptation and trial) will envelop you, in which the elderly will become senile and young will become old. The people will treat it (the Fitnah) as a Sunnah. So whenever it is altered, they will say:
“The Sunnah has been altered.”
They asked:
“When will this occur, O Abu Abdur Rahman?”
He replied:
“When your Qaaris (Qur’an reciters) will become abundant, your Fuqaha (true scholars) will become scarce, your leaders will become many, your trustworthy ones will become few (and in another version: your Khutabaa – public speakers – will profilerate), and the Dunya will be pursued with the deeds of the Aakhirah.”
(Saheeh Hadith recorded in the Sunan of Daarimi)
ﻗﺎﻝ ﻋﺒﺪ اﻟﻠﻪ: ” ﻛﻴﻒ ﺃﻧﺘﻢ ﺇﺫا ﻟﺒﺴﺘﻜﻢ ﻓﺘﻨﺔ ﻳﻬﺮﻡ ﻓﻴﻬﺎ اﻟﻜﺒﻴﺮ، ﻭﻳﺮﺑﻮ ﻓﻴﻬﺎ اﻟﺼﻐﻴﺮ، ﻭﻳﺘﺨﺬﻫﺎ اﻟﻨﺎﺱ ﺳﻨﺔ، ﻓﺈﺫا ﻏﻴﺮﺕ ﻗﺎﻟﻮا: ﻏﻴﺮﺕ اﻟﺴﻨﺔ “. ﻗﺎﻟﻮا: ﻭﻣﺘﻰ ﺫﻟﻚ ﻳﺎ ﺃﺑﺎ ﻋﺒﺪ اﻟﺮﺣﻤﻦ؟ ﻗﺎﻝ: «ﺇﺫا ﻛﺜﺮﺕ ﻗﺮاﺅﻛﻢ، ﻭﻗﻠﺖ ﻓﻘﻬﺎﺅﻛﻢ، ﻭﻛﺜﺮﺕ ﺃﻣﺮاﺅﻛﻢ، ﻭﻗﻠﺖ ﺃﻣﻨﺎﺅﻛﻢ، ﻭاﻟﺘﻤﺴﺖ اﻟﺪﻧﻴﺎ ﺑﻌﻤﻞ اﻵﺧﺮﺓ» ﺇﺳﻨﺎﺩﻩ ﺻﺤﻴﺢ
WORLD-SPANNING EVIL TRANSMISSIONS FROM ABOVE US
Hudhayfa ibn Yamaan (radhiyallahu anhu) narrates:
“Soon will evil be poured over you from the skies (i.e. up above) to such an extent that it will reach al-Fayaafee.”
It was asked:
“What is al-Fayaafee, O Abu Abdullah?”
He answered:
“Desolate lands (deserts, wastelands, the wilderness, etc.)
(Authentic narration recorded in Musannaf of Ibn Abi Shaybah)
Amongst the greatest of evils which has manifested itself only recently, and which is literally pouring over us incessantly, even in to the most remotest parts of the Earth, is the transmission of pornographic filth and other such abominable material via the means of satellites dishes above the skies.

ARABS AND PERSIANS WILL PERISH EVENTUALLY
Rasulullah ﷺ said:
“Indeed, the very first people that will perish or be destroyed are the Persians. Then the Arabs will follow in their wake (of destruction).”
Them he ﷺ pointed his hands in the direction of Shaam, saying:
“Except a few remnants over there.”

CHOOSE TO BE INCAPABLE (BACKWARDS)
Nabi ﷺ prophecized miraculously:
“An era will come upon mankind when a man will (have to) choose between being incapable (or backwards)* or immoral. So whoever reaches that era, let him choose incompetence (backwardness) over immorality.”
(Al-Haakim in his Saheeh)
*One of the primary significations of the word “ajz” in the Arabic dictionaries is “backwardness”

BEWARE OF THE MUNAAFIQ WHO ARGUES USING THE QUR’AN AND HADITH
Abu Hurairah (radhiyallahu anhu) narrates that Rasulullah ﷺ said:
“A time will come upon my Ummah in which Qaaris (Qur’an reciters for dollars) will become abundant, the Fuqaha (true scholars) will become scarce, knowledge will be taken away, and Harj will become rife.”
They asked:
“What is Harj, O Rasulullah ﷺ?”
He ﷺ replied:
“Killing amongst yourselves. Then a time will come after that in which a man will recite the Qur’an and it will not go past his throat. Then there will come a time after that in which a Munaafiq, Kaafir, Mushrik will argue with the Mu’min with the (very) same thing he says (ie. the Qur’an and the Sunnah).”

GIVE SALĀM TO EVERYONE, PRAY TAHIYYATUL MASJID, AND SERVE YOUR ELDERS
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“From the signs of the hour is that a man will only give Salām to one he knows, he will walk the length and breadth of a Masjid, yet not pray two rak’ats…and the youth will use the elderly as messengers (for their errands)…”

KNOW OR PERISH
Hudhayfa bin al-Yamaan (radhiyallahu anhu) said:
“I am the most knowledgeable in regards to all the Fitnahs that will occur till the Day of Judgement.”
“These Fitnahs are about to envelop us with their shadows, like the foreheads of cattle (ie. one indistinguishable from another). Most people will perish in them, except those who know of them from before.”
(Fitan of Nuaym bin Hammaad)

Grateful to you for this knowledge, respected Mufti sahab. May you live long in the service of Islam. Aameen.
Assalamualaykum respected brother. I’m only a layman trying to propagate the teachings of this beautiful Deen according to my limited ability.
Assalaamu’alaykum
(Note: please don’t wonder about my name (beside Tahir which i took after Allah Ta’ala guided me 10 years ago) for I’m from a french speaking country)
May you seek the answer to the following for Allah’s sake?
I’ve inherited this bit of knowledge from the most beloved ans trustworthy etc. person(s) i know on this earth (unfortunately they lack the free time to locate it in the books for me, I’m not complaining).
I don’t know if my yearning to know in which book it’s located is worthy of accolade or rather blameworthy.
It’s related to Qiyaamah.
A local imam told me such hadith doesn’t exists, two scholars among the many to which my query arrived said it might be Israailiyyaat – so said the first – and it is Maudoo’ (coined) – so said the second – because islamic teachings broadly speaking impart a contrary view about this issue (in a nutshell that ALL the kuffaar will be rewarded in this Dunyaa without exception).
Hereunder is the narration whose I’m talking about :
On the day of Qiyaamah, some Kuffaars will temporarily (e.g. for centuries) enjoy the pleasures of paradisiacal abodes (BUT IT WILL NOT BE PART OF JANNAH) before to be flung for ever in Jahannum. This non-eternal happiness will be doled out to them for they have been victims of some muslims’ Zhulm/Zhulumaat in this Dunyaa.
May you tell me – or seek for me about – where is recorded this narration?
Was-salaam
Very knowledgeable. Jazak Allah khair
