Speak the Haqq even if it is Bitter

Abu Dharr (radhiyallahu anhu) narrates:

Rasulullaah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) commanded me:

1) That I keep family ties even if they turn away.

2) That I speak the Haqq even if it is bitter.

3) That, while doing something for the sake of Allah, the criticisms of critics should not affect me.

4) That I love the meek (and poor) and I sit with them.

5) That I look at those worse off than me (in terms of Dunya), and I never look at those better off than me.

6) That I recite excessively, “La Hawla wa La Quwwata illaa billaah”.

(Tabaraani’s al-Mu’jam ul-Kabeer)

ﻋﻦ ﺃﺑﻲ ﺫﺭ ﺭﺿﻲ اﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻨﻪ، ﻗﺎﻝ: «ﺃﻣﺮﻧﻲ ﺭﺳﻮﻝ اﻟﻠﻪ ﺻﻠﻰ اﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ، ﺃﻥ ﺃﺻﻞ ﺭﺣﻤﻲ، ﻭﺇﻥ ﺃﺩﺑﺮﺕ، ﻭﺃﻥ ﺃﻗﻮﻝ اﻟﺤﻖ، ﻭﺇﻥ ﻛﺎﻥ ﻣﺮا، ﻭﺃﻥ ﻻ ﺗﺄﺧﺬﻧﻲ ﻓﻲ اﻟﻠﻪ ﻟﻮﻣﺔ ﻻﺋﻢ، ﻭﺃﻥ ﺃﺣﺐ اﻟﻤﺴﺎﻛﻴﻦ، ﻭﺃﺟﺎﻟﺴﻬﻢ، ﻭﺃﻥ ﺃﻧﻈﺮ ﺇﻟﻰ ﻣﻦ ﻫﻮ ﺗﺤﺘﻲ، ﻭﻻ ﺃﻧﻈﺮ ﺇﻟﻰ ﻣﻦ ﻫﻮ ﻓﻮﻗﻲ، ﻭﺃﻥ ﺃﻛﺜﺮ ﻣﻦ ﻗﻮﻝ ﻻ ﺣﻮﻝ، ﻭﻻ ﻗﻮﺓ ﺇﻻ ﺑﺎﻟﻠﻪ
